ABOUT US

Pi Sigma Alpha was founded in 1920 at the University of Texas at Austin, and remains the only American collegiate honor society for Political Science. For nearly 100 years, Pi Sigma Alpha has recognized and promoted high academic achievement in that field. The national office of Pi Sigma Alpha offers generous yearly grants up to $2000, and continues to put an emphasis on undergraduate research.

Sonoma State University's chapter, Kappa Rho, was chartered in 1980 by Professor Cheryl Peterson. At present, Kappa Rho has begun to renew its charter, and hopes to promote community outreach programs, volunteering, and undergraduate research programs.
